Rabun County, Georgia after 1820 (He purchased lot 23, 490 acres, between Tiger and Bethel on Jan. 8, 1820.) (In 1823 he purchased the adjoining lot 20, including bottom land in the bend of the Stecoa.) Their home was across the railroad from Bethel Church. In 1949 the house was inhabited by Williams great-granddaughter, Dora Smith. Part of the land went to his 2 grandsons, Moses and Lewis Shirley. 3 6 7 15
