NAME: Felix Pierson's name is different in almost every record. His tombstone is what I settled on as his actual name here. In the 1855 NY census, there is a Philip age 16. Although Felix should be about 12, I am assuming this is him. Philip doesn't show up anywhere else and neither does Felix. It is possible Philip is a cousin from Canada and Felix had remained in Canada with other relatives for a bit, but I haven't found any records indicating this yet. The 1860 Census for Oshkosh, WI, lists him as Felix age 22. The 1870 Census, lists him as Phelix age 29 living with his wife Julia and his widowed mother, Agatha, which is evidence that he is the child of Agatha and Joseph. Everywhere else he is Felix.
