| NOTES: | Between 1850 and 1860 William, Louisa and their daughter Martha, disappeared. In 1860 the other children are living with Francis and Beverly Slaughter. I conclude that they died. On February 8, 1852, the book The History of Harris County, Georgia reports (page 3) that the temperature dropped to -40 degrees Fahrenheit and many people froze to death. Then in March there was deep snow. |
