I then looked in the Wright Directories for Milwaukee and found the
following info for Joe Wandt.

1900    Joe Wandt is a chimney sweep and lives at 688 Market
1901    Same as above
1903    Joe Wandt is a chimney sweep.  He lives at 314 - 5th St
1907    Joe Wandt is a chimney sweep.  He lives at 610 Orchard.
1912    Joe Wandt is a chimney sweep.  He lives at 688 Market.

The Wandts were brewers, saloon-keepers and chimney sweeps.  There
were 4 or 5 entries for each year.

>From your information, I know that Amelia was adopted (?) by a family
named Zander.  So, I looked up the Zander name from the years before
she married Henry Seurer.  Here is what I found:

In 1926, Theodore Zander was a solicitor (salesman) for the Milwaukee
Leader Newspaper, whose editor was Victor Berger, a famous Milwaukee
Socialist Congressman, who was imprisoned during World War I.

I then looked for info in the Wright Directories on the Seurers who
lived in Milwaukee over the years.
